Senior Civil Engineer
We have a need for a Civil Engineer with 7 plus years of transportation-related design experience. This experience may include the preparation of roadway designs (plans, specifications and estimate), feasibility studies, and/or Project Study Reports. At MRO our project managers have worked in or with local agencies and have experience making presentations to public Boards and Commissions, speaking at public workshops, and addressing the general public's concerns during project development. Our civil engineers also have the opportunity to work with our traffic engineers on a variety of interesting transportation projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform the design and production of roadway design projects, primarily performed in Rocklin office, ensuring that high quality products are produced within the schedule that our clients require
- Provide construction support to various projects that are being constructed by our local agency clients
- Support the marketing efforts on public works projects, as requested by the firm principals
- Training and mentoring of more junior level engineers and drafters
Job Requirements:
- 7 plus years of transportation-related design experience (roadways, Project Study Reports, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Land Development Desktop, a California PE, or a desire to work in traffic engineering is a plus
- Occasional travel to conduct field visits and consult with clients
- Maintain good client relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
